and WE are suppose to call THEM teachers

bersempena dengan hari guru yang telah disambutkan pagi tadi, BLAH! hahaha.. back to english, this is something i wrote sometime ago and it's not to offend it's just something for you to think about.. =)

Teacher in a dictionary means one who teaches. Teach in a dictionary means to show one a new way of how to think, feel or act in a new or different way.

To teach is not to just go up to a whiteboard and write out whatever you have learnt in a university or what you read out of a book. To teach means to educate and guide one to learn something new. I find techers in people who not only respect themselves but above all, their students. To help one think, feel or act in a different way have you done that? If you have, you are a teacher. If not, and you ARE a teacher, what are you doing?!?

A teacher is one who guides but still listens. I personally feel that teaching is more of a gift. Not just an interest but a passion. A passion to teach all, no matter what the age. The young and the old. The rich and the poor. Those who excel academically and those who are often left behind. Those who often compliment you as a teacher and those who rebel and talk, what you feel is, a little too much.

A teacher is not one who shuns the students who do not do well in a subject nor one who talks about students behind their backs nor one who claims respect before first showing respect to others nor one who says "that student has a grudge on me" and in return keeps an eye out for that 'rotten apple'.

A teacher instead is one who loves teaching and makes learning an enjoyable journey. One who does not dread everyday of their living life because of a particular rascal. One whose true dream is to educate another and to make a difference in another's life for the better.

Sometimes it is hard to be a teacher as you feel that the students have already set a target on you. So, do you find it fair to set back the targets on us? Teachers always cry out in despair, "I am only human! I am imperfect!" but here is the catch, so is the student. the student is every bit a homosapien as any teacher. Students feel as much emotion as teachers do. They also deserve every ounce of respect that is demanded from them from their teachers.

Now, after teaching all the 'teachers' out there how to be a teacher through this blogpost, i dare ask," and WE are suppose to call THEM teachers?"

XD! so teachers out there.. i hope you ain't offended but it is a thought isn't it?
